at his home to avoid having to deliver it. According to local paper Le Bien Public, police found several months of post at the man's home in Is-sur-Tille in the Côte d'Or
department. The Nouvel Observateur says the postman's actions were closely watched by police after a number of people in the town complained of missing mail since the summer. The man
has admitted to police that he had kept the piles of unopened letters at home to avoid having to do work. He is due to appear before judges in February.
