The Ulhasnagar police have booked former four-term MLA Pappu Kalani and 20 others for threatening BJP MLA Kumar Ailani on polling day (November 20). According to the FIR filed on November

26, Kalani, accompanied by 15 to 20 people, created a ruckus outside Ailani’s office at Madhuban Chowk. Ailani alleged that on election day, Kalani gestured for him to step out of the

office. During the incident, Ailani’s sister-in-law, Mona Nair, was also threatened by Kalani. Ailani intervened and escorted her back inside. The complaint further states that as Kalani

left, he made a threatening gesture resembling a revolver using his fingers, indicating a potential threat to Ailani and his family. In the recent Ulhasnagar assembly elections, Pappu

Kalanis son, Omie Kalani, lost to Kumar Ailani by 30,754 votes. Kalani and Ailani are political rivals in Ulhasnagar.
