Fifty years ago this month, _Monty Python and the Holy Grail_ made its big-screen debut in the U.S. — and took the legend of King Arthur to the heights of inspired silliness. The

delightfully absurd English comedy troupe known as Monty Python — Graham Chapman, John Cleese, 85, Terry Gilliam, 84 (the group’s lone American), Eric Idle, 82, Terry Jones and Michael

Palin, 81 — formed in 1969 and found success in their sketch show _Monty Python’s Flying Circus_ and multiple films, including _Monty Python and the Holy Grail_ in 1975.  It initially gained

popularity as a cult film on the midnight movie circuit, and today it's widely hailed as one of the greatest comedies ever made. In 2021, AARP named it one of the funniest movies of

the last 50 years and one of 30 movies every grownup should know, and it frequently appears on other cinematic all-time-best lists. How much do you remember about this epic medieval romp?
