More than 300 over-the-counter health products were recalled from Family Dollar after they were stored at the wrong temperature before being delivered to stores, the Food and Drug


Administration (FDA) announced. ​ ​Among the items are pain relievers, toothpaste, mouthwash, ointments, soaps and cold medications. The full list of products includes brands such as: *


Advil * Alka-Seltzer * Bayer * Clear Eyes * Colgate * Crest * Fixodent * Midol * Nyquil * Pepto-Bismol * Tylenol * Vicks​ ​ The recalled items were sold at stores in 23 states between June 1


and Oct. 4. The states are Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada,


Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.​ ​ ADVICE TO CONSUMERS To date, Family Dollar has not received any complaints or reports of illness related to this


recall.​  The company has told the affected stores to check their stock and to stop selling the recalled products. Anyone who purchased the affected items may return them to the Family


Dollar where they were purchased without a receipt. Customers with questions may call Family Dollar customer service at 844-636- 7687.   Last year, more than 40 over-the-counter health


products were recalled from Family Dollar for being stored at improper temperatures. ​ ​ Anyone who experiences problems related to these products should contact their health care provider.​
