After years of paying into Medicare and Social Security, you’ve earned a say in their future. Yet for more than a year, politicians in Washington have been meeting behind closed doors to
discuss changes to these programs that could affect your health and retirement security.AARP believes you’ve earned your benefits and the peace of mind that comes with knowing that Medicare
and Social Security are strong today and will be in the future. That’s why we’ve launched You've Earned a Say – a national conversation to ensure that before any decisions are made in
Washington that could affect you and your family, you have a voice in the debate.
You’ve Earned a Say will provide you with information about the Medicare and Social Security proposals Washington has put on the table, both the pros and cons, without all the political
jargon and spin so you can speak out and share your ideas and opinions. By making your voice heard on the future of Medicare and Social Security, you can help to protect and strengthen these
programs for today's seniors and future generations.
You may not need Medicare and Social Security now, but chances are good you will in the future. AARP is taking the debate about the future of Medicare and Social Security out from behind
closed doors in Washington so you can have a voice. The next president and Congress will determine the future of Medicare and Social Security. We need to make them understand that:
