and Social Security are strong today and will be in the future. That’s why we’ve launched You've Earned a Say – a national conversation to ensure that before any decisions are made in


Washington that could affect you and your family, you have a voice in the debate. 


You’ve Earned a Say will provide you with information about the Medicare and Social Security proposals Washington has put on the table, both the pros and cons, without all the political


jargon and spin so you can speak out and share your ideas and opinions. By making your voice heard on the future of Medicare and Social Security, you can help to protect and strengthen these


programs for today's seniors and future generations.

Throughout 2012, you will be able to share your thoughts at town hall meetings, community conversations and other events in all 50 states plus Washington,


D.C., the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.You will be able to share your ideas directly with your members of Congress and the presidential and congressional candidates on earnedasay.org.

You’ll receive information on what changes Washington is considering for Medicare and Social Security so you can cut through the political


jargon and spin. We lay it all out in plain language and let you decide.


Add volume to your voice

We are working to engage millions of Americans in this discussion.  We’ll be publishing results of a series of questionnaires, as well as providing other


feedback, on earnedasay.org and in AARP publications.  This will help amplify your voice and make sure Washington understands that Americans like you need to be involved in any debate about


the future of these programs.We will share information with your representatives in Congress and the White House that will include questionnaire results and feature comments collected
