Institute, where her research focuses on health issues affecting older adults. Carter has extensive experience designing clinical and epidemiological studies and analyzing large-scale
datasets, including public-use datasets like NHANES and insurance claims data. AARP is a Dissemination and Implementation partner organization to the United States Preventive Services Task
Force (USPSTF) and Beth serves as the AARP representative. Before joining AARP, Carter was a principal investigator on a National Institutes of Health–funded grant at Children’s National
Health System and an assistant professor of biostatistics and epidemiology at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University. Carter holds master’s and PhD
degrees in epidemiology from the Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in human biology from Stanford University. Read Beth
