ABOUT Indira Venkat is senior vice president of AARP Research, leading a team of subject matter experts to inform enterprise strategy to grow impact, relevance, and revenue. She designs and
directs a research program and agenda that develops a 360-degree view of Americans 50-plus, which is used to inform AARP programs, policy, and advocacy efforts. Before joining AARP, Venkat
led the strategic insights function at The Weather Channel. Prior to that, as a member of Travel Channel’s executive team, she oversaw the audiences and research function. She is broadly
recognized for her leadership. In 2009, she was named Most Influential Minorities by Cablefax and NAMIC, and Most Powerful Women in Cable by Cablefax. She is a 2010 graduate of the Betsy
