ALISON'S NOTES This soup is in the style of the food of Chettinad in India. It can be served with the cauliflower in pieces in the soup or as in this recipe with the soup pureed to give
a lovely creamy version. The moong dal used in this recipe is split mung beans. If this is not available you can use yellow split peas, potato or rice for thickening the soup. Posted 13
