a collision involving a coach. The crash took place on the southbound carriageway between J9, Walsall, and J8, for the M5. National Highways posted on X at 2.54am this morning (March 5) that

initially closed and lane closures followed, sparking delays of up to 45 minutes for motorists. Article continues below However the motorway has since reopened. National Highways said in its


first message: "The M6 southbound between J9 Walsall & J8 M5 WestBromwich is closed following a collision involving a coach. "Delays of up to 30 minutes on approach to the


closure at J9." In its final update posted at 6.02am, National Highways said: "Recovery is complete and all lanes are now open on the M6 southbound between J9 Walsall & J8 M5
