SOUTHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL WILL BE UPDATING ITS SEASON TICKET PRICES FOR CITY CENTRE CAR PARKS FROM THIS WEEK. 12:49, 03 Jun 2025 Petrol, diesel and electric vehicles are set to face new
parking charges this week for the first time. Southampton City Council will be updating its season ticket prices for city centre car parks from this week. The season ticket price for city
centre residents will remain the same. The season ticket prices were announced following a public consultation in March 2025. For city centre residents off street anytime, on street evenings
and weekends and on street anytime, the prices remain the same and are not affected by the changes. The standard season ticket for all other users will rise by £25 for the three month and

ticket cost remains lower than the pre-pandemic rate of £1,200 and is competitive with season ticket pricing in high demand facilities within other local authority areas, such as Portsmouth
and Bournemouth. Article continues below Additionally, the council will be removing the 90% discount on season tickets for electric vehicles. This is to ensure that season tickets remain
appropriately priced to manage parking demand within the affected parking spaces, and manage parking demand as the use of electric vehicles become increasingly common. Councillor Eamonn
Keogh, Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport said: "In updating our season ticket prices, we are balancing affordability for our residents with effective management of our city
centre parking facilities. "These amendments reflect our dedication to ensuring fair access to parking while also encouraging alternative modes of transport into the city centre from
further afield.” Article continues below The updated prices are £650 for 12 months for city centre residents parking off street anytime, and £300 for 12 months worth of weekend and evening
parking. Six month rates for city centre residents parking anytime off street is £340. City residents parking ON street face £475 charges for six months or £900 for 12 months.
