perk for thousands of customers within days. Halifax, which is a part of Lloyds' Banking Group, is axing "Extras" for Rewards current account holders to make way for new changes.

Halifax has told customers that from June 17 they will no longer be able to add Reward Extras to their account or renew an existing Reward Extras offer. A Halifax spokesperson said: "We’re

updating the features on our Reward account, introducing fee-free debit card spending abroad, with more benefits to come later in the year.”

‌ As it stands, you can receive a Reward Extras offer each calendar month – by choosing one of the below offers for your Reward Current Account. You’ll need to meet a set of conditions each

month to get rewarded.

Halifax states: "Reward Current Account is getting a refresh later this year. To make way for this, from 17 June 2025, you’ll no longer be able to add Reward Extras to your account or renew

an existing Reward Extras offer.

direct into your account - or 1x Cinema Ticket (see a film on us at any UK Vue Cinema (each ticket is valid for 12 months)).

You can also get three months of a digital magazine and choose from popular titles such as Cosmopolitan and Men's Health. If you do hold a Reward Current Account and paying £1,500 or more

into your account each month you're eligible.

Eligibility means you need to pay a £3 monthly fee will apply for each month, stay in credit and spend £500 or more each month on your debit card OR keep a £5,000 or more daily balance too.

Article continues below Halifax says: "If you’ve done all the things we asked of you at the end of the month, you’ll get your reward around the 12th of the following month.

"If you’ve selected a lifestyle benefit, you’ll receive the offer each month to your registered email address.

"If you’ve selected the £5 offer, we’ll pay it into your account and it’ll appear on your statement. It’s as simple as that."
