OCTOPUS ENERGY IS NOW RELEASING CODES FOR FREE HOT DRINKS DAILY INSTEAD OF ONCE WEEKLY VIA ITS OCTOPLUS SCHEME. 11:26, 21 May 2025 Octopus Energy has left customers stumped with a big

loyalty scheme discount change. Octopus Energy is now releasing codes for free hot drinks daily instead of once weekly via its Octoplus scheme. Octopus is rivalled by EDF, EON Next, Ovo and

British Gas. UK households can redeem the codes for beverages at Greggs, which has branches in Birmingham, or Caffe Nero, which also boasts Birmingham cafes, with one code available per

Octoplus customer per week. Posting on Reddit, one said Nero vouchers are only available "for those who get up at 6am now". They added: "The old system wasn't perfect,

but at least the Nero vouchers were usually still available throughout the day on Monday. READ MORE NEW UK PRIMARY SCHOOL DINNER RULES WITH SOME STAPLES BEING 'BANNED' "Now

they are limited to people who get up very early in the morning, and are all gone by the time of the later risers." Another posted: "The free Caffe Nero drinks get snapped up so

fast now. "I used to be able to get the free Cafe Nero drink as late as Tuesday morning if I forgot (sometimes even later than that). Now, it's Monday morning and my app says that

all the codes have already been redeemed." Article continues below A third recently posted: "I'm trying to get a code now. It's 8.40am and all the codes for Neros and

Greggs are gone. "Haven't had a code for months, where as I used to be able to pop on at any time of day and get one." Another said: "Seems like everyone is having issues

getting the Octoplus free hot drinks now ever since the switch to daily codes. "I've been up pretty late or awake early to try and catch a new batch of codes but there

doesn't seem to be a set time for new codes? I'm only able to get a code on Sundays maybe once or twice a month, (and it's usually been a Greggs), where I was able to just

claim and use my codes on every Monday with no issues before. Article continues below "I dont want to play into the conspiracy that they've just reduced the amount of codes

secretly, but for one of the few usable benefits thats usually saved me £16 a month on coffee, I'm having to consider if there's other ways to save this much against my energy

bills." Meanwhile, another said: "I used to love getting my weekly cafe Nero drink but over the past couple of months the drinks have been sold out on the app every time I try to

get one. "Is there a best time to check to get the code? I thought Sundays but they're still often gone when I look."
