windscreen and landing on the ground. She was left with life-changing injuries. Boreland, aged 49, from Kings Norton admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He was sentenced to
three years and banned from driving for five years from the point of his release. ABDULLAH SAQLAIN Abdullah Saqlain carried out more than £250,000 worth of scams as he tried to financially
keep up with his wife's wealthy friends. He was already in jail for stealing more than £51,000 from Birmingham-based Jamia Al Furqan but confiscation proceedings revealed he had been up
to much more. The 47-year-old from Ilford, London, defrauded American Express out of nearly £100,000 in a cheque scam and fraudulently obtained a £50,000 Covid-19 bounce back loan. Saqlain
also received another £102,000 from a Belgium logistics company which had fallen victim to a bogus email. Finally, he played a small part in a telephone scam that resulted in an elderly
woman being conned out of her life-savings. Saqlain was handed a fresh four-year sentence after admitting two counts of fraud and three offences of money laundering. DANIEL HEANEY Daniel
Heaney was linked to the theft of a vehicle just days after being released from prison for stealing a van in Northfield. The 44-year-old admitted theft of a motor vehicle as well as driving
without a licence and insurance. He was sentenced to a further 12 weeks. DAMIEN GLOSTER Damien Gloster sexually attacked two boys in separate incidents on Birmingham's Cross City line.
The 40-year-old sexually assaulted one boy on a train between Barnt Green and Selly Oak. He targeted another at Northfield station and then lured him to a woodland area. Gloster was found
guilty of two counts of sexual assault and was jailed for seven years with an extended three-year licence. JEEWAN SAGU 'Greedy' businessman Jeewan Sagu supplied 'useless'
hand sanitiser during the Covid-19 pandemic. The 43-year-old was a director of Digbeth-based Big Living Ltd which put hundreds of containers of its Chemist Plus branded hand sanitiser on
the market. The product had significantly less alcohol than the 80 per cent which was advertised. In 2022 he was convicted of placing an unsafe product on the market, causing another trader
to engage in a commercial practice which was a misleading action, misleading advertising and a fourth offence related to failing to adopt measures under the General Product Safety

Birmingham after he was part of another group who attacked a home in Sparkbrook earlier that night, setting fire to the door and blasting it with a shotgun. Three men were jailed for Mr
