has been launched after several pedestrians were struck by a car in the Midlands.
It is understood the vehicle collided with 'a number of pedestrians', leaving four in hospital.
Those injured in the incident in Leicester were two men and two women - their ages have not been shared at this stage.
Three had serious injuries, while one man was left with minor injuries following the collision in De Montfort Street.
According to Leicestershire Police, the crash took place just before 12.35am on Saturday, May 31.
It followed a report of a fight at the same location, the force said.

A 31-year-old man, from Leicester, has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Leicestershire Police said on Saturday morning that he remained in police custody and was being questioned by detectives.
Detective Inspector Jenny Tattersall urged the public not to speculate about the nature of the incident.
She said: "We understand the serious concern there will be about this incident.

"A man remains in police custody and will be questioned by officers.
"A large cordon is in place in the area of De Montfort Street and will remain while enquiries, including forensic investigations, are carried out.
"We do ask that people do not speculate about this incident, including on social media, in order to allow a thorough investigation to take place.
"We have officers at the scene carrying out enquiries and providing reassurance.
"Please do speak with them regarding any information you may have or any concerns you may have.
