A MAN CLAIMING TO KNOW THE MAIN SUSPECT IN THE MADELEINE MCCANN CASE HAS MADE A DRAMATIC APPEAL TO POLICE 10:00, 05 Jun 2025 A man who allegedly knows the main suspect in the case of
Madeleine McCann, Christian Brueckner, has issued a dramatic appeal to police. Ken Ralphs has claimed officials are searching in the wrong place, stating that an accomplice of Mr Brueckner
once reportedly broke down in tears and confessed they had been a part of a plot to abduct a child in Praia de Luz. He told GB news: "He cried that he needed the money to get out the
country with his family and children and that's why he got involved." READ MORE: MADELEINE MCCANN'S PARENTS 'NOT COMMENTING' AS SEARCH MAKES PROGRESS ON SECOND DAY
Mr Ralphs described the last area Mr Brueckner had stayed at, before Madeleine had disappeared, urging investigation teams to focus there, the Express reported. He added: "For over 18
years, I've pressed the police and all they can do is blame each other for not passing this information on." Article continues below Christian Brueckner is the prime suspect in the
case, who is currently in jail for raping a 72-year-old woman in Praia da Luz in 2005. Mr Brueckner is set to be released from prison in September, as long as he is not dealt any other
charges. The search into the missing child enters its third day today, with abandoned buildings in the countryside of Praia da Luz involved in the Portuguese and German police investigation.
Madeleine vanished from her family's holiday apartment in 2007, and several investigations into her disappearance have ensued since then. READ MORE: MADELEINE MCCANN INVESTIGATORS FIND
'EVIDENCE' AT ABANDONED HOUSES The properties are being searched by teams with strimmers, shovels and chainsaws, to clear the area of dense vegetation. Diggers were also employed
yesterday, alongside officials from the firefighting team employed to drain wells in the area. Kate and Gerry McCann will not be publicly commenting on the search while the police
investigation is active, staff at the Find Madeleine Campaign told the publication. It is believed the search will be active for three days, unless anything of significance has been found in
that time. Article continues below
