POSTECOGLOU’S WORDS ON RYAN MASON BODE WELL FOR WEST BROM AS DANIEL LEVY IS ALSO FULL OF PRAISE JAMES PALLATT 09:16, 03 Jun 2025Updated 09:22, 03 Jun 2025 Ange Postecoglou’s previous
comments on Ryan Mason bode very well for West Brom. Mason is leaving his role as an assistant to Postecoglou at Spurs to take his first step into management at The Hawthorns, agreeing a
three-year deal with the club. Postecoglou clearly rates Mason as a coach, saying last season he was doing a great job at Tottenham and that he didn’t want him to leave the club after
missing out on the Anderlecht job. Mason is said to have held talks with Anderlecht after they sacked Brian Riemer in September, but they appointed David Hubert as head coach. Commenting on
the situation last October, Postecoglou said: “I have always worked on the premise that part of my role is also developing coaches and it is something I take great pride in. Article

certainly with Ryan, he is doing a great job for us here.” Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has also been full of praise for Mason, who helped Spurs end their long wait for silverware as they
beat Manchester United in the Europa League final last month. In the wake of his appointment by Albion, Levy said: "Ryan has been an integral part of Tottenham Hotspur for a number of
years, both as a player and a coach. Article continues below “I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Ryan for all his dedication and hard work over the years, and we wish him every
success for the future." DO YOU THINK MASON WILL BE A SUCCESS AT WEST BROM? TELL US HERE
