Adam Devine, the youngster who was linked with a move to Birmingham City in the January transfer window, has been released by Rangers at the end of his contract. The 22-year-old right-back
spent time out on loan in the Scottish Championship at Queen's Park, where he played 13 times having joined the club in the January transfer window. Prior to that loan, though, the idea
was mooted for Devine could leave Ibrox permanently. He was supposedly of interest south of the border, with Blues and West Bromwich Albion both credited with an interest, but nothing
materialised and Devine remained in Scotland, moving down a rung in the league ladder to play regularly. Now, though, Rangers have confirmed that Devine is one of a number of academy players
to leave the club following the conclusion of his contract in Glasgow; what comes next for the player is yet to be confirmed. "Rangers Academy can today confirm the departure of a
number of players who will now continue their footballing journey elsewhere," the club statement read. "Lewis Budinauckas, Jay Hogarth, Jacob Pazikas, Jack Harkness, Kristian
Webster, Leyton Grant, Kerr Robertson, Darren McInally, Grant Leitch and Harry Weir are all moving on. "Adam Devine, Cole McKinnon and Archie Stevens, all of whom featured for the
first-team at various points in their Rangers careers, will also depart the club upon the expiration of their contracts, and we thank each for their contributions over the years. We wish all
the departing players the very best in their future endeavours and they will always be welcome back at Rangers." Blues have had many dealings with Rangers recently; having met the Gers
in pre-season at St Andrew's, they brought in both midfielder Kieran Dowell and defender Ben Davies on loan from the SPL outfit, at differing stages of the season. They also signed
Scott Wright on a permanent basis last summer. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT BLUES TO ACHIEVE NEXT SEASON? TELL US HERE _Everyday, the BirminghamLive football desk strive to deliver all manner of news,
