DANIEL FARKE IS INTERESTED IN SIGNING ASTON VILLA WINGER EMILIANO BUENDÍA 10:47, 29 May 2025 Premier League new boys Leeds United have reportedly reaffirmed their interest in signing Aston
Villa winger Emiliano Buendía this summer. Daniel Farke is a long-time admirer of the Argentinian ever since he played a starring role under him at Norwich City between 2018 and 2021. The
Whites were hoping to take the 28-year-old to Elland Road during their impressive 100-point Sky Bet Championship promotion campaign, but the player wasn't willing to drop down a
division, so spent the second half of last season at German side Bayer Leverkusen instead. But now Leeds are a top flight club again, and Give Me Sport's Ben Jacobs is reporting they
are still interested in Buendía's services. Buendia joined Villa from Norwich City in the summer of 2021. Despite various injury concerns, including an anterior cruciate ligament injury
which ruled him out of the entire 2023-24 season, he has made 97 appearances in claret and blue, scoring 10 goals. Article continues below The Yorkshire club have a big summer ahead of them
and shouldn't be short of cash. Up to £120 million is being injected into the club via a new share issue by owners 49ers Enterprises, with the money to be spent on redevelping Elland
Road and on the summer transfer budget. It's a very different situation at Villa Park. Unai Emery and Co need to sell to buy this summer due to Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR)
which limit spending relative to a club’s revenue, especially after failing to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. Number one goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez looks to be leaving the West
Midlands behind him, while reports are linking the likes of Leon Bailey, Jacob Ramsey and Youri Tielemans to moves away. Article continues below Though Villa have managed their restrictions
admirably so far, Monchi, the club's president of football operations, explained in August: "In my opinion, we need to sell players - City sell players, Arsenal sell players, Real
Madrid and Barcelona sell players. We are not afraid to sell players. The most important thing is to have, one - a buyer, and two - a player to replace them." SHOULD VILLA CASH IN ON
