A FORMER EMIRATES FLIGHT ATTENDANT HAS SHARED THE FIVE SECRETS TO SCORING THE BEST TREATMENT ONBOARD YOUR FLIGHT 12:23, 05 Jun 2025 A flight attendant has shared the top secrets to scoring
the best treatment onboard your flight this summer. Michelle Stoner, VIP flight attendant and former Emirates cabin crew, has shared how small gestures such as purchasing chocolates for your
air stewards, and by just dressing nicely, you could boost your chance of "good fortune" during your journey. The first top tip the air stewardess, who has partnered with VSO,
shared was the advantage of purchasing a box of chocolates before you get on the plane. She said: “The best tip is to buy a bag of duty-free chocolates and give it to the cabin crew when
you’re boarding. They will remember you and give you special treatment, it works like a charm! READ MORE: RYANAIR ISSUES STATEMENT AFTER BEING FORCED INTO EMERGENCY LANDING BY
'SUPERCELL' Most airlines don’t provide blankets and pillows on the seats, but you can always ask the crew because they’ll be hiding them somewhere, and If you have kids, you could
ask if they have any complimentary toys or play books for them - these are normally on longer flights and those bigger airlines.” Article continues below To get the best seat on the plane,
Michelle suggests looking as far back on the plane as possible, especially if you ar on a fairly empty flight. She said: “The further back you go, the emptier it seems to get." "If
you have a fairly empty flight, you’re almost guaranteed a row at the back to yourself - make sure you ask the crew and claim it as soon as you know the doors are closed for boarding.
"You can also ask the check agent if the flight is busy and then ask if you can change seats to a better one - they normally are very helpful!” Other flight hacks involving seat
reservations involved using your wardrobe to its maximum. The air stewardess said "dressing nicely" can be the difference between snagging an upgrade or not on the plane. She
added: “It’s a good idea to dress nicely at the airport if you would like an upgrade. They are more likely to upgrade a well-dressed passenger instead of one boarding in their pyjamas.
"The obvious way would be through a loyalty program and to use your reward points. Additionally, you can always try your luck and ask nicely at the check-in desk.” READ MORE: BRITS
ACCUSED OF DRUG SMUGGLING 'COCAINE IN ANGEL DELIGHT SACHETS' FACE DEATH PENALTY Michelle also suggested taking advantage of the app your airline has on offer, as you may be able to
nab upgrades at a cheaper rate. She added there was one specific day of the week which is rumoured to be better for grabbing a good deal. The former Emirates flight attendant said: Using
the airline’s app can give you upgrades for much cheaper and better deals. Booking on a Tuesday is also rumoured to be the cheapest day to find the best deals on flights.” Article continues
below Airport security is the final area Michelle has discussed, emphasising how important it is to be organised when you are planning your getaway. She said: “Be organised, prepare your bag
before you get to airport security. "Have your plastic bag ready with your toiletries- despite not every airport needing them anymore, it’s always good to be prepared - empty your
water bottle, have your laptop easily accessible and wear shoes that are easily removable. Don’t be that person who holds up the line!”
