into trouble - with shoppers warned the fast fashion retailer has turned to Hong Kong for flotation. The fast-fashion retailer is struggling to gain the go-ahead from Chinese regulators for
a UK listing, it has been warned. The company was founded in China where the majority of its suppliers are based but now has its headquarters in Singapore. Shein, which is rivalled by the
likes of Temu, is aiming to file a draft prospectus with Hong Kong’s stock exchange in the coming weeks, according to Reuters. Shein, which was valued at $66bn (£48.9bn) in a 2023

delays, according to Reuters. Article continues below It comes after it emerged Shein customers are being targeted with a phishing scam promising them a whole pallet of Shein clothes, but
applying will expose your bank details and could see your account drained. Experts have issued a warning over the dangerous new scam. The emails read: "Customer feedback has always
helped us improve Shein experience. Click through to take a quick 60-second survey and receive a fantastic prize. You can tell us how you really feel." Andrew Brown, Software Security
Expert at Propel Tech, said: "We often wrongly assume that the only people targeted by or likely to fall for online phishing scams are the elderly, but this is incorrect. These scams
are now openly targeting a younger generation by tricking Shein customers into completing a “60-second survey” and giving away their details to online scammers. Article continues below
"We would advise anyone who receives an email like this to be extremely cautious. It doesn’t matter if you hope to win a huge prize or if you’ve had previous bad experiences with the
company; this email is not being sent by Shein and is, in fact, a scam. "As these scam emails go, this is one of the better ones we have seen. The branding and layout look like the
exact type of follow-up marketing email you would expect to receive from the fashion brand. That said, there are some telltale signs. The address at the bottom of the email is Hutton, Texas,
but Shein’s U.S. office is based in Los Angeles."
