THE ALLEGED VICTIM REMAINS IN HOSPITAL WITH SERIOUS INJURIES FOLLOWING AN INCIDENT IN DARLINGTON 15:19, 02 Jun 2025 A man is today seriously injured in hospital after he was allegedly pushed
into a road and hit by a car. Police say the incident happened at just before midnight in Darlington town centre on Saturday. The alleged victim was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital
where his condition has been described as "stable". Another man, in his fifties, was arrested on suspicion of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm before being

reports of an assault on Grange Road, in Darlington. A man is believed to have been pushed into the road where he was then struck by a passing vehicle. Article continues below "He was
taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital with serious injuries where he remains today in a stable condition. A man in his fifties was arrested on suspicion of assault with intent to cause
grievous bodily harm. He has since been released under investigation while further enquiries are carried out. "Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information that could
assist the investigation, should contact Darlington CID." The incident happened took place on Grange Road close to Northumberland Street and Coniscliffe Road. The roads appear to have
been closed for several hours. Article continues below North East Ambulance Service has confirmed that it attended, with an ambulance crew joined in the town centre by a specialist paramedic
and clinical team leader. A spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 11.10pm on Saturday 31 May to reports of a road traffic incident on Grange Road in Darlington. We dispatched an
ambulance crew, specialist paramedic and clinical team leader to the scene, and transported one patient to hospital for further treatment.” Quote incident number 485 of May 31 when
