NEW DATA SHOWS THAT NUFC SUPPORTERS GO THE DISTANCE TO FOLLOW THEIR BELOVED TEAM, BOTH PHYSICALLY AND FINANCIALLY 18:21, 26 May 2025 New data has found that Newcastle United fans spend the

most and travel the furthest to domestic away games throughout the Premier League season. NUFC supporters are known to go the distance when it comes to following their beloved team, both

physically and financially, and these figures prove that sentiment. Betting tips provider Spelcash looked at the distance in miles between each stadium, as well as how long each journey

takes, and calculated the average fuel cost was also calculated, revealing how much each team's fans spend over the course of a year. This showed that it is Toon fans who face the

highest costs, spending an average of £40.24 on fuel per away game, and travelling an average of 252.89 miles per away game. This means that Newcastle United supporters will reach an average

of 4,805 miles in a season, more than double the distance that Arsenal supporters travel over the same period. Everton and Bournemouth fans are second and third on the list, but their

numbers pale in comparison, with an average of £27 spent on fuel and an average distance of 170 miles. On the other side of the coin, the teams with the lowest average travel costs are the

aforementioned Arsenal at just £16.75, closely followed by Chelsea and Brentford at £17.27 and £17.35 respectively. Johan Sunnanangs, the CEO of Spelcash, said: "These findings

highlight the significant financial commitment fans make to support their teams away from home. Newcastle United supporters show remarkable dedication, spending more than twice what Arsenal

fans pay for travel to away games. "The Premier League schedule doesn't always consider the travel burden placed on fans, especially those supporting teams in the north east or on
