custody following the death of a teenage boy at a Welsh amusement park. Just before 5pm on Friday, police were alerted to reports that a 16 year old boy, identified as Taha Soomro, was
experiencing a medical emergency at Barry Island Pleasure Park in the Vale of Glamorgan. Taha, a resident of Grangetown, Cardiff, was declared dead at the location. South Wales Police (SWP)
stated that investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the teenager's death and urged the public to refrain from speculation on social media platforms. On
Saturday, it was confirmed by the police that a 15 year old boy, also from Grangetown, Cardiff, had been arrested under suspicion of assault and was currently in custody. The family of Taha
have been notified and are receiving regular updates from the officers, according to SWP. The police have requested anyone who was present at Barry Island Pleasure Park during the time of
the incident and may possess relevant information to get in touch. Detectives expressed particular interest in obtaining any mobile phone footage related to the incident. Anyone with
