a full line-up after 20 horses were confirmed on Monday. The much-favoured Delacroix was the standout name among the 20 contenders set to compete in the renowned Classic at Epsom this
Saturday.
Under the guidance of Aidan O'Brien, Delacroix has risen to the top of the Classic betting following decisive wins in two spring Derby trials, building on his narrow loss in last year's
Futurity Trophy at Doncaster. He is one of four hopefuls from Ballydoyle, with The Lion In Winter also a notable contender despite his odds-on defeat in the Dante.
Meanwhile, Lambourn and Puppet Master claimed victories in trials at Chester and Lingfield respectively.
Ruling Court, trained by Charlie Appleby, aims to add another Classic to his record, with the 2,000 Guineas winner being one of two entries for Godolphin alongside Newmarket fourth-place
finisher Tornado Alert, trained by Saeed bin Suroor.
Dante victor Pride Of Arras is one of two potential runners for Ralph Beckett, who may also field Stanhope Gardens. John and Thady Gosden have confirmed both York runner-up Damysus and the
Juddmonte-owned fifth-placer Nightwalker, reports the Mirror.
Article continues below Juddmonte have bolstered their chances with an additional entry, as French competitor New Ground has been supplemented at a cost of £75,000 following third-place
finishes in both of his starts under trainer Henri-Francois Devin this season.
The progeny of New Bay was narrowly defeated by a length by French Derby runner-up Cualificar in April, and Juddmonte's European racing manager Barry Mahon is optimistic about his prospects
with an increase in distance.
Francis Graffard's charge Midak has also been enlisted for the race, donning the colours of the Aga Khan Studs. The race is held in tribute to the late Aga Khan IV, who passed away in
February.
Article continues below Charlie Johnston may potentially field two contenders in the form of Lazy Griff and Green Storm. Al Wasl Storm, Nightime Dancer, Rogue Impact, Sea Scout, Tennessee
Stud and Tuscan Hills complete the prospective line-up.
