FMX STUNTS, STREET FOOD, MUSIC AND ILLUMINATED HOT AIR BALLOONS WILL BE AMONG THE ATTRACTIONS OF A PARTY IN THE PARK EVENT 16:55, 03 Jun 2025Updated 17:03, 03 Jun 2025 The operators of The

Hoppings are to host an all-action party this weekend ahead of their annual visit to Newcastle. Crow Events, which runs the city's much-loved funfair which will be back on the Town Moor

within a matter of days, will first showcase a three-day Party in the Park from this coming Friday. This event will include fairground rides, street food, bars, entertainment and

what's described as 'death defying' stunts as well as other dramatic sights such as illuminated hot air balloons. It will take place in Stewart Park in Middlesbrough, which is

about an hour's drive from Newcastle where, as previously reported, The Hoppings will have a 10-day visit from June 20. Ryan Crow, who is organising both family treats, says the Party

in the Park will be big on food too, with international cuisine on offer. The street food menu will include Greek favourites such as gyros; Chinese noodle dishes and British favourite fish

and chips along with the likes of corndogs, beef brisket and pulled pork plus sweet treats such as churros and doughnuts. A big attraction at the weekend is set to be a FMX - freestyle

motorcross - stunt team performing 'death-defying manoeuvres' on motorbikes. Another will be hot air balloons which are due to put on a special 'glow night' display. This

will be weather dependent, as any strong winds will mean the balloons cannot be inflated, but the plan is to light up the tethered balloons for a memorable show on the Saturday evening.

While the illumination is expected to make for a spectacular sight at night-fall, the hot air balloons will be in the park for people to view up-close throughout the three days. Article

be 11am to 7pm. JOIN OUR WHATSAPP COMMUNITIES ChronicleLive is now on WhatsApp and we want you to join our communities. We have a number of communities to join, so you can choose which one
