A NEWCASTLE SUBURB NOT TOO FAR OUT OF THE CITY CENTRE HAS BEEN NAMED ONE OF THE POSHEST IN ALL OF THE UK 10:56, 03 Jun 2025Updated 11:08, 03 Jun 2025 It's said to be one of the most
sought after postcodes in the area and now an affluent suburb just outside of Newcastle has been rated one of the 'poshest' in the UK. And it's no surprise, given that
it's also a big favourite of United footballers. We at CHRONICLELIVE like to write about a vast array of different locations in and around Newcastle and the wider North East and for the
purposes of this article, we are turning our attention to Gosforth. The leafy suburb less than a 10 minute drive from Newcastle city centre has long been one of the top locations for people
to live on Tyneside; thanks to its beautiful houses, the picturesque park at its centre and a chic high street that has welcomed a number of new businesses in the last few months alone. And
now Gosforth has landed on the radar of world famous magazine Time Out, who have included it on a list of 14 places in the UK, dubbed to be the poshest in the land. It's probably no
surprise to you to learn that five of the top six in the new rankings are from London, with Herne Hill coming out on top and the capital also represented high on the list by the likes of
Barnsbury and South Hampstead. The only non-London destination on the list is Newnham in Cambridge, while Gosforth is in 12th, just behind Didsbury Village on the outskirts of Manchester and
ahead of Bearsden in Glasgow and Lisvane in Cardiff. The UK's 'poshest' list is based on findings from high end estate agents Savills , with the places on the list said to
have the highest number of households with the biggest mortgages, close to the best schools in the area, have gorgeous green spaces and high streets full of independent businesses. Article

Gosforth Hotel and chic restaurants like Babucho, which has brought some serious Dubai vibes to the same former church that has also been home to Bar Luga and Loch Fyne; Noivello and Osters.
Popular High Street cafe One Eleven has recently extended its hours to become a chic wine and charcuterie bar by night and much loved Gosforth bar The Three Mile is undergoing a big revamp
for summer. And, speaking of bars, who can forget the time that then new Newcastle signing Sandro Tonali, who lives in the area, ended up having a night out at Wetherspoons pub The Job
Bulman, much to the surprise of staff and fellow drinkers. Sandro and other half Juliette Pastore are often and about in the town as are United defender Sven Botman and long term girlfriend
Chana Kesselaar. WE HAVE A DEDICATED NEWSLETTER FOR WHAT’S ON NEWS AND REVIEWS. IT’S FREE AND YOU CAN SIGN UP TO RECEIVE IT HERE. It will keep you up to date with all the latest updates on
