quarter and full year. Fortress Investment Group plans to close its flagship macro hedge fund and Principal Michael Novogratz will leave the firm, sources close to the fund told CNBC. Shares
slipped about 5 percent after the bell. FMC shares plunged more than 11 percent after the chemical company lowered its earnings forecasts and announced plans to cut between 800 and 850
jobs. The company said it has been hurt by the rapid devaluation of the Brazilian currency. JetBlue Airways shares slipped about 1 percent after the company reported September traffic
figures. Natural gas producer Chesapeake Energy appointed Brad Martin, former CEO of Saks, as new its new chairman, effective immediately. Shares fell 1 percent after hours. EMC said David
Strohm resigned from the cloud computing company's board "due to increasing conflict with other business and personal obligations." The news came hours after Dell said it
would acquire EMC for about $67 billion in cash and stock. The stock inched lower in extended-hours trading.
