NEXT EDITION WILL APPEAR ON NEWSSTANDS THIS WEDNESDAY - AFTER STAFF AGREED TO TAKE A BREATHER FOLLOWING SURVIVORS' ISSUE THE NEXT edition of satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo will

appear on French newsstands this Wednesday, and will return to weekly publication, a month and a half after the Paris terror attacks that killed 12 people at the title's offices.

Regular cartoonist Riss, who was injured in the attack, steps up to become the paper's new editor-in-chief, following the murder of Charb. In an interview for France 5 this weekend, he

said: "We're starting over again. The funerals have passed. It sunk in some time ago that our colleagues weren't just on holiday. We need to keep going without them, and it

will be difficult." The "survivors' edition" of Charlie Hebdo exceeded all expectations, selling eight million copies worldwide and was translated into several languages.

Staff at the title agreed to take "a breather" between editions. Riss said some, like him, were keen to get going straight away while others needed a break before the weekly

routine resumed - and a compromise was reached for a February 25 publication date. The front cover will be decided in an editorial conference on Monday. There is no word yet on the size of

its print run.
