THE COUNTRY CAME TOP OF G7 COUNTRIES FOR MOBILE INTERNET SPEED FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW France has the fastest 5G speed of all G7 countries, ahead of the US and Japan according to a
study, placing it in the top position for the second consecutive year. The average 5G speed in France in 2023 is 221.1 Mbps (Megabits per second), an increase of 28.9 Mbps on its average
speed in 2022, states an annual report by analytics company Opensignal. In comparison, the other G7 countries have average speeds of: * US - 157 Mbps * Japan - 153.3 Mbps * Germany - 151.8
Mbps * Canada - 145.8 Mbps * Italy - 131.9 Mbps * UK - 118.2 Mbps The UK and Japan were the only G7 countries in which the average 5G speeds decreased in 2023, by 18.3 Mbps and 18.5 Mbps.
The world’s fastest countries for 5G are the United Arab Emirates (557.63 Mbps), Qatar (465.62 Mbps) and Singapore (388.55 Mbps). The 5G network has been expanding rapidly in France,
