SIX INSURERS LINED UP IN BETA VERSION AS INTERNET GIANT MAKES FORAY INTO WORLD OF INSURANCE GOOGLE has launched a service to compare the cost of car insurance. Visitors to the site complete

an extensive questionnaire before the information is put to six insurance companies. The company takes no commission, but uses the information you have entered, and customers are able to buy

their policy directly with the insurer. The service is actually run by the British firm BeatThatQuote.com which was bought by Google in 2011. While the firm is registered in the UK, this

service is targeted directly at people wishing to take out car insurance in France.
