THE MP FOR CORRÈZE IS SET TO WIN NOT ONLY THE SOCIALIST PRIMARIES BUT THE PRESIDENCY, SAYS A SURVEY SOCIALIST MP François Hollande is favourite to win not just his party’s primaries, but the
presidential elections, says a survey published today. The CSA survey for BFM TV, RMC and 20 Minutes shows the Corrèze MP would win 28% of the vote in the first round of next year’s
elections, followed by Nicolas Sarkozy, 24% and Marine Le Pen, 18%. If on the other hand rival for the Socialist candidacy Martine Aubry was in the running, she would win 27% compared to 25%
for Sarkozy, said the poll. A total of 34% supported him as Socialist Party candidate, compared to 27% for Aubry and 19% for Poitou-Charentes council president Ségolène Royal. Hollande was
also the candidate with the most “presidential bearing”, the survey said (40% compared to 19% for Aubry and 10% for Royal).
