Nationwide is set to distribute £100 bonuses into the bank accounts of millions in the upcoming weeks. The mutual lender declared the cash giveaway as a part of its annual Fairer Share
initiative for members. Customers have been alerted to watch out for the incoming payments. From June 18, the bonuses will start arriving in accounts, with all payments expected to be
completed by July 4, reports Birmingham Live. Members qualifying for the windfall need not lift a finger to receive the free money. Eligibility for the bonus requires having a current
account with Nationwide, plus either a savings account or mortgage that meets specific criteria. Nationwide is rolling out its Fairer Share bonus for the third year in a row. Whether the
scheme continues annually depends on the building society's financial performance of the preceding year. Just last April, Nationwide gifted millions of members with complimentary £50
bonuses. The society expressed in a statement: "The Nationwide Fairer Share Payment is £100 for the third year running. "Over four million of our members will receive it. We will
have paid out over £1 billion to eligible members since 2023." Nationwide clarified their criteria: "You must be a member of Nationwide with a qualifying current account, plus
either qualifying savings or a qualifying mortgage. "And you need to have met these criteria when we last checked on March 31 this year. Eligible members will receive their £100 payment
between June 18 and July 4, 2025."
