A passenger in a van involved in a collision with a HGV on the A46 has been left seriously injured. West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) has confirmed the man, who has not been identified,
needed advanced trauma care at the scene on the A46 southbound earlier this morning (June 3). He was then taken to hospital for further treatment. The driver of the van was also injured,

the A46, Junction 3 B side in Kenilworth. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Critical Care Car attended the scene. "Upon arrival we found two
men from the van. The first man who was a passenger had sustained serious injuries. He received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene. "The second man who was the
driver had sustained injuries not believed to be serious. He received treatment at the scene. Both were conveyed to University Hospital Coventry for further treatment. No further patients
required treatment." The bypass between the A45 at Coventry and A452 at Kenilworth remains closed following the serious collision at just before 3am this morning. National Highways West
Midlands has warned that it is set to remained closed throughout this morning. Warwickshire Police is investigating the collision. The force has yet to respond to our request for
