Commuters in Coventry will now pay £3 for a single bus journey in the city. An increase in fares will come into play from the middle of June. National Express Coventry says the rise, a total
of 10p, is to contribute to network maintenance, particularly in light of the rise in cost - an issue impacting practically everything. In better news, a child's single fair remains
the same at £1.50 and new bundles for repeat use are being rolled out. The increase will be the second this year, after the £2 single bus fare cap was scrapped by the government. The initial
increase saw fares jump from £2 to £2.90 back in January. With the government-set cap of £3, bus companies have opted to charge bus users the maximum they are permitted by law. READ MORE:

annual fare increase due to the rising cost of maintaining the bus network, and has been agreed by Transport for West Midlands and all bus operators within the nBus zone. "National
Express West Midlands single adult fares will increase from £2.90 to £3, while single child fare remains unchanged at £1.50. “A range of great value tickets are available to suit customers’
