After recent a nostalgia article looking back at Coventry's historic nightclubs proved a hit with readers, we've decided to give the people want they want with a follow up. Reposts
and comments were full of fond memories looking back at a simpler, albeit, arguably more violent, time. While we previously focused on Busters, Pink Parrot and Mr G's, this time round
we've taken a look at much loved venues such as Fatty Arbuckle's, Tiffany's and plenty more. Fatty's had previously been known for over 200 years as the Red House.
Unusually for a nightclub, it was quite a way outside of the city centre on the Stoney Stanton Road. It was a beloved nightspot during the 1990s, before it was demolished around 20 years
ago. READ MORE: HOUSE NEAR COVENTRY CITY CENTRE RAIDED AS SUSPECTED 'LOAN SHARK' ARRESTED You can't look at Coventry's night life in the late 1970s and 80s without 2-Tone
popping up. Pictures from Tiffany's, also known as Locarno during its rich history, shows the Specials in a hometown show. Elsewhere we see a dancing Pauline Black of The Selector at
the Tic Toc Club. Another hot spot outside of the city centre, actually outside of the city as a whole, was the Madchester-esque Crazy Daisies heading towards Ryton. We also see the infamous
Eclipse nightclub, famous for its era-defining all-night raves. Take a look at the pictures and let us know which ones you loved, your memories, and if there are any nightclubs we've
missed out.
