A season ticket waiting list at Coventry City. Let that sink in. Less than a decade ago, the club’s struggles both on and off the pitch made headlines for all the wrong reasons. Home crowds
often hovered below 10,000, and the once-proud Sky Blues were exiled to Northampton and later Birmingham as disputes over their home spiralled. For many, the club felt broken. Fast forward
to 2025, and the picture could hardly be more different. Supporters have snapped up 10,000 season tickets in the first three days they have gone on sale as excitement builds ahead of Frank
Lampard’s first full season as manager. The CBS Arena, with a capacity of 32,609, is now expected to be close to full on a weekly basis. It’s a remarkable turnaround for a club that hasn’t
tasted Premier League football in 24 years but has captured the imagination with back-to-back Wembley appearances and an identity fans can believe in once again. The response since an
agonising play-off semi-final defeat at Sunderland has been extraordinary. The noisy reaction from Coventry supporters suggests they feel their club is on the rise and united. STEVEN
HUMPHRIES: If someone had of told me a few years back there would be waiting lists for season tickets I'd have laughed in their face. The growth of the club in the last few years has
been huge. Great to see and great to see so many young fans coming to games as well. RAY OLIVER: There’s a buzz for sure, capacity will be reached week in week out from here on in. JAMES DE
SOUZA SMITH: The ones that arent renewed by the deadline will then be released for general sale. Will be a good idea to join the waiting list now if you haven't got a season ticket yet
but want one. STUART SAHAN: Hard to believe it wasn’t that long ago people were saying City would never fill the Ricoh as it was known back then (still is in my mind) as it was too big for
us. How times have changed! MARK TUCKER: First time I had a season ticket was 1997, I think I was one of around 8,000. MARK COOPER: What a time to be a Sky Blue! NICOLA ELLIOT-SMITH: My son
and I have been coming to games for a few years now. I finally took the plunge and got us both season ticket. Super excited 15 year old. JACK DRINKWATER: Insane! Fair play sky blue army,
waiting list for season tickets is a credit to us all IAN GAGE: Bought my first season ticket after the quarter final in 1987 A few days later the club announced if you wanted a season
ticket for 86/87 you had to buy one for 87/88 too... just in time. Had one every season since even when living in Cumbria Notts and Sheffield. Easier to get away games in those days too!
BENJAMIN LIPMAN: A waiting list for season tickets when you have a stadium of 32K is crazy for a team that’s not seen top flight football in 24 years… We have been through a lot, but what
this shows is the Wembley visits have propelled the club into the bracket they thought they were in when they started the process of moving from Highfield Road…. WHAT DO YOU THINK? CLICK
