Coventry City will travel to face Bristol Rovers as part of their final pre-season preparations for the new 2025/26 Championship campaign. The Sky Blues are yet to reveal their programme of
warm-up fixtures for this summer, with the players due to return for pre-season training on July 1 ahead of a schedule of friendlies leading into the new season that kicks off on the weekend
of August 8, 9 and 10. Frank Lampard is expected to take his players on a warm weather training camp early on in July before returning for a series of games which, once again, are likely to
conclude with a couple of home fixtures at the CBS Arena in line with last summer’s hugely popular games against Everton and Werder Bremen. READ MORE: SOMETHING'S GOT TO GIVE, NEED FOR

West Country to face newly relegated Bristol Rovers of League Two will provide a midweek test for Lampard’s squad on Wednesday, July 23 at the Memorial Stadium. Rovers announced on their
club website: "Bristol Rovers is pleased to confirm our pre-season fixture against Coventry City at The Memorial Stadium ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. "The Gas will welcome the
Sky Blues to The Mem on Wednesday 23 July, with kick-off set for 7pm. Managed by Frank Lampard, Coventry finished in fifth position in the Sky Bet Championship last season before losing to
Sunderland in the semi-finals of the playoffs. "The fixture will also be Darrell Clarke’s first in charge at The Mem since returning to the Club as Head Coach, with the 47-year-old
achieving back-to-back promotions in his first spell between 2014-18." The match will be the most high profile pre-season run-out for Darrell Clarke’s side who are already set to face
local clubs Chippenham Town (July 4), Bath City (July 16) and Yeovil Town (July 19) as well as League One outfit Stockport County (July 12) while away in Murcia for a warm weather training
camp. Rovers will be targeting promotion at the first time of asking following last season’s relegation. The Gas were on course for survival but a torrid run of just one point from their
final 10 matches saw the Pirates finish 22nd in League One. Clarke, who led the club to back-to-back promotions from the Conference to League One during a four-and-a-half year long first
spell, was confirmed as Rovers’ new head coach last month ahead of the League Two season. Further information regarding tickets for this fixture will be announced in due course across the
club’s official channels. WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF THIS FIXTURE? CLICK HERE TO HAVE YOUR SAY. GET THE LATEST COVENTRY CITY HEADLINES SENT STRAIGHT TO YOUR PHONE Get the latest Coventry City news
