Coventry and Warwickshire Mind will be hosting a 'Mental Elf' fun run in December in the city. The festive fun run will be held on Sunday, December 1, a 5k 'elf-tastic'

run for mental health. The event will be held at War Memorial Park, with a route around the park and all proceeds raised to help fund Coventry and Warwickshire's mental health and

wellbeing services. Bosses say it is an 'inclusive' event open to everyone of all ages and abilities, with Christmas fancy dress 'very much encouraged'. Participants can

walk, jog, skip, or run the 5k distance and can even bring their little ones or four-legged friends. The focus of the fun is to have 'plenty of fun' while raising funds for vital

funds for Mind's work within the region. The run will take place from 11:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tickets include a place in the Mental Elf 5K and a victory medal, a free warm-up session

with trainer David Smith (The Mindset Soldier), free entertainment, and a place in the best-dressed competition. HERE IS THE PROPOSED SCHEDULE BELOW FOR THE DAY: * 11:15am - event

registration opens * 11:45am - warm-up from the start of the line from professional personal trainers * 12pm - 5k begins * 12:45pm onwards - opportunities to grab food and drink from the

visitors' cafe, see Santa's grotto and enjoy live entertainment * 2pm onwards - end of Mental Elf 5k run A spokesperson for Coventry and Warwickshire Mind said: "Whilst

fundraising isn’t compulsory for this event, we would encourage each person taking part to reach a target of £20. The more money you raise, the more people we can help. You may wish to ask

family, friends, or colleagues for sponsorship. So, set up your JustGiving page today. And please remember to put Coventry and Warwickshire Mind as your chosen charity." "As the

festive season approaches, Mental Elf promotes the benefits of physical activity and connects people. It will give you that warm and fuzzy feeling knowing that you’re helping us raise vital

funds for your local mental health charity." For more information about the Mental Elf 5k run, visit the Coventry and Warwickshire Mind website. GET DAILY HEADLINES AND BREAKING NEWS
