SIR ROD STEWART HAS CANCELLED ANOTHER ONE OF HIS LAS VEGAS GIGS UNDER STRICT DOCTORS ORDERS AS THE STAR SUFFERS FROM THE FLU... 09:40, 05 Jun 2025 Sir Rod Stewart has cancelled another one
of his Las Vegas concerts. It comes after the 80 year old was given doctors orders to rest and recover from the flu. The rock legend was due to take the stage at The Colosseum at Caesars
Palace today (Thursday, June 5) but told fans he is still unwell, meaning he has had to cancel another performance. Taking to Instagram the Maggie May singer told fans: "I'm
awfully sorry to have to cancel my show June 5th at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. "My doctor ordered a bit more rest while I recover from the flu. Thanks for your love and
understanding. - Rod," he concluded with a broken heart emoji. It currently remains unclear if the rocker will reschedule the concert. Fans rushed to offer their support, wishing the
singer well. As one wrote: "Take care, Sir Roderick and have a great recovery! I'm sending you positive vibes." A second added: "Get well soon, Rod. I hope to see you in
Latin America. It is my father's dream." Article continues below A third said: ""Feel better! My mom is flying from Toronto to California for June 15 in Paso." While
one fan who was due to attend the Thursday night gig penned: ""Oh gosh we flew all the way to Vegas to see you! I will try and catch you in Raleigh, feel better Rod."
Meanwhile another fan assured him his health comes first, writing: "Take all the time your doctor advises you to do to recuperate, your health comes first." This comes as Rod was
forced to reschedule his residency gig on Monday due to the illness, with a new date set for June 10. Earlier this week he posted on Instagram: "I am sorry to inform you that I'm
not feeling well and my show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10. Your tickets will be valid for the new date." The Maggie May hitmaker revealed
late last year that he would be taking a step back from the stage and large scale tours in the next year. "This will be the end of large-scale world tours for me, but I have no desire
to retire," he said in a statement on social media. "I love what I do, and I do what I love." "I’m fit, have a full head of hair, and can run 100 meters in 18 seconds at
the jolly old age of 79," he jokingly concluded. Article continues below At the end of the month, Rod is set to play the Sunday afternoon legends slot of Glastonbury Festival in
Somerset. The star is planning a mini-reunion with his band Faces at the festival, with hits that lifelong friend and Rolling Stones member Ronnie Wood will be joining him on stage to
perform. _JOIN THE_ _DAILY RECORD'S WHATSAPP COMMUNITY HERE __AND GET THE LATEST NEWS SENT STRAIGHT TO YOUR MESSAGES._
