Lanarkshire Council has extended the deal which sees the procurement of its liquid fuel supplies. A contract with Highland Fuels Limited and Certas Energy, which trades as Scottish Fuels,


has been extended for two years with a maximum value of £5 million. The arrangement covers petrol, diesel, “red diesel”, and kerosene which is used to power vehicles, equipment, tools and to

similar arrangements and it is usual for the council to procure these through Scottish Procurement and CCS. Scottish Procurement oversaw the competition phase of the tendering process and


recommended these providers leading to a deal which had previously been due to expire at the end of March this year. The new two-year extension will commence on April 1 and was formally
