pavement in Cusco, a city nestled in the Andes, several days after losing contact with her friends. The news of her discovery was shared on a GoFundMe page, with one friend describing it as

"a huge relief". However, it is believed that Hannah, a fashion graduate, will need psychiatric care before she can return home. It's reported that she initially declined

help, with a psychosis brought on by the traumatic experience of being violently robbed leaving her too scared to interact closely with officials or locals. One relieved friend said:

"It is a huge relief that she has been found, when she stopped contacting people we were worried she had been trafficked and we would never hear from her again." The Good Samaritan

found her sleeping on the street, and now one of her friends has flown out from the UK to Cusco to try and persuade her to come home. The hope is to have her back home within the next few

days, reports the Mirror. Hannah had travelled to Peru in March for a yoga retreat to "find herself," according to friends. However, she lost touch with her companions after an

alleged attack by thugs who burned her belongings. She was left without her phone, passport and money following the assault in the city of Cusco. Earlier this week, a close mate of the

family shared: "She is one of the most pure loving souls ever - she is very generous and always wants to help people. But she does not trust anyone after getting robbed and assaulted.

Some locals burned all her belongings from under the bridge. "She was contacting her mum every now and then through other people's phones. Police went to check on her two days ago

and she has not been seen since. Cusco is a trafficking hotspot, so it's very worrying." Her pals back in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, are beside themselves with worry, describing the

situation as "extremely urgent." A heartfelt plea on the fundraising page reads: "Hannah travelled to Peru in March hoping for an adventure, but instead, she has found herself

in a terrifying and heartbreaking situation. "She was robbed and assaulted, losing her passport, phone, and all of her money. Since then, Hannah's mental health has severely

declined." More than 100,000 Brits jet off to Peru annually, with many making a beeline for Cusco, the gateway to Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail.The current Foreign, Commonwealth and

Development Office (FCDO) travel advice flags up that several Brit tourists have fallen prey to armed robbers in recent years. It further warns: "Personal attacks, including sexual

assaults, are infrequent but do happen, mostly in the Cusco and Arequipa areas." Article continues below The funds collected via the GoFundMe page will reportedly be used to cover the

costs of flights, accommodation, emergency care and food for Hannah's family and friends while they are in Peru.
