THE WOMAN RECEIVED A CAUTION AFTER SHE IS ALLEGED TO HAVE SQUARED UP TO A FEMALE POLICE OFFICER, WHO THEN GOT GER IN A HEADLOCK AND WRESTLED HER TO THE GROUND IN FRONT OF REVELLERS 21:44, 20
May 2025Updated 21:55, 20 May 2025 This is the moment a rowdy drinker is pushed in the chest by a female officer and wrestled to the ground by three cops outside a trendy bar. Shocking
video footage shows the female officer push the unidentified woman in the chest before getting her in her a headlock and grappling her to the floor. As she goes down, two male colleagues
come in help arrest her in front of a crowd of onlookers outside Waxy’s Little Sister in London's trendy Leicester Square, which describes itself as the 'World's Best Irish
Pub'. The woman, who is wearing a white dress, is then handcuffed as the video cuts out. The Met Police claim the woman had been interfering with officers who were dealing with a
suspected pickpocketing at around 10pm on Saturday night. The force said she was "asked to leave the area" on numerous occasions, but kept returning to the scene and continued to
pester the officers on duty. That is not caught on the camera footage, but she is seen being pushed in the chest by the female cop, forcing her backwards. She then squares up to the police
officer before appearing to move her arm towards her, at which point the officer grabs her around the neck and drags her onto the floor. Another officer then steps in to help restrain the
woman on the ground, while a third handcuffs her hands behind her back, holding her on the ground face down. The woman was arrested by cops and taken into custody where she accepted a
caution for assaulting and obstructing a police officer. The Met Police stated its Directorate of Professional Standards carried out a fast time review after the video began circulating
social media. A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers considered a number of factors, including the circumstances leading up to the incident, whether the use of force was proportionate,
and all available footage. “Officers were in Wardour Street, W1 at around 22.00hrs on Saturday, 17 May dealing with a suspect who had been ejected from a nearby pub following an attempted
pickpocketing. “The woman in the video was asked on numerous occasions to leave the vicinity as she was interfering in the situation. “She kept returning and on the final occasion, body worn
video footage showed her striking an officer in the chest. Officers then detained her. “DPS concluded that officers acted appropriately and no disciplinary matters have been identified.
“The woman was arrested on suspicion of assaulting and obstructing a police officer. She was taken into custody and later accepted a caution for the offence.” A spokesperson for Waxy’s
Little Sister said: “The police were there apprehending a bag thief. A drinker who was not a guest in our venue then caused the issue which is on video. “It happened outside our premises but
was nothing to do with anyone from our premises.” Article continues below _FOR THE LATEST BREAKING NEWS AND STORIES FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE FROM THE DAILY STAR, SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTER BY
