THE 30-YEAR-OLD DARTS STAR HAS BEEN OPEN ABOUT HER HEALTH PROBLEMS OVER THE YEARS, WHICH HAVE HAD A MASSIVE IMPACT ON HER STAMINA AND ABILITY TO COMPETE IN GAMES 18:30, 03 Jun 2025 Darts
trailblazer Fallon Sherrock announced that she will take a break from the sport next year to focus on her health. The ‘Queen of the Palace’ became the first female player to win a match
against a man at the PDC World Championships in 2019. She beat Ted Evetts 3-2 in the opening round and followed it with a 3-1 victory against Mensur Suljovic before losing the next round.
Two years later, Sherrock later was the first woman to reach the last-16 of a major mixed-gender darts tournament at the Grand Slam of Darts, where she was defeated by Peter Wright. The
30-year-old has been open about her ongoing medical issues, however. In 2017 she needed treatment for kidney disease after being diagnosed with the condition following the birth of her son
three years before. Sherrock also previously said that the number of medications she takes to battle the illness has given her a "moon face". In a recent interview with Online
Darts, the star explained how she's had to cancel playing in exhibitions because her stamina isn't up to it. "All I want is to practice at home for a few hours a day. Article

professional darts player Cameron Menzies, revealed how she has had to cut back on the tournaments she plays in. "I have to get healthy again - and once I've done that, anything is
possible. "That's why I've had to severely limit the tournaments I participate in - and that hurts because I love darts. I just hope that I'll be fit again in a year or
two and come back really well." Sherrock has her sights set on returning for the World Championship, following her first-round defeat by Ryan Meikle at this year's event. "My
main objective this year is obviously the Worlds. "But I want to try and get to the Grand Slam this year, because I feel like if I am going to have a year out next year, I want to make
a bang," she said. Article continues below The Buckinghamshire-born player spoke out her health problems before her loss in December. She said: "This year I feel like there is
hardly any pressure on me at all. There are other players in the field who have got the media attention and stuff, so I can go under the radar. I have been poorly. "I haven't
publicised it as such. Only a few people close to me actually know about it, but I am on the mend now and hopefully getting my confidence back." FOR THE LATEST BREAKING NEWS AND STORIES
