MANCHESTER UNITED ARE TAKING ON TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR IN THE EUROPA LEAGUE FINAL, WITH THE GAME BEING STREAMED LIVE FOR FREE ON DISCOVERY PLUS - BUT FANS ARE EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS 21:26, 21 May
2025Updated 21:27, 21 May 2025 Manchester United and Tottenham supporters were left seething as they faced endless buffering while trying to watch the Europa League final on Discovery Plus.
Fans eager to catch the action for free, as in past years, were hit with streaming snags instead of the beautiful game. "Anyone else experiencing buffering on the Europa final on
Discovery Plus," one frustrated fan tweeted on X. "Had to make a Discovery plus account to watch the final and the stream drops in quality every 2 minutes," vented another fan
online. "This stream on Discovery plus is utterly woeful what are they using dial up?" raged a third viewer. "This game is unwatchable on the discovery plus app. Constant
buffering for me," lamented another disgruntled supporter. On the pitch, both sides struggled to create clear-cut chances as goalmouth action was sparse. As half-time approached, Spurs
snatched the lead in a rather untidy manner, thanks to a mix-up involving United's calamity keeper Andre Onana. The goal wasn't one for the history books – Brennan Johnson barely
connected with Pape Sarr's cross, but after hitting Luke Shaw, the ball sneaked past Onana and into the net, reports the Mirror. "The game did need a goal," opined ex-Spurs
and England keeper Paul Robinson on BBC Radio 5 Live. "It wasn't pretty, it was scrappy, but those Tottenham fans won't mind." Chatting on TNT Sports during half-time,
ex-Spurs hero Gareth Bale remarked: "For a Spurs fan it doesn't matter. I think Spurs have probably been the better team in the first half, pressured them very high, but...
it's important to get that first goal because I feel like the pressure was good but you need something to back that up." Ex-United star Rio Ferdinand was less than chuffed with his
former side's backline antics. "It was poor, [Patrick] Dorgu, at no point in this does he talk to Luke Shaw," he commented. "You always need that help. Maybe it's
inexperience here but he doesn't let him know. By the time he realises and sees the white shirts flashing, it's too late and the ball ends up in the back of the net. Article

know players are running across them. He didn't do that and they got punished."
