RUBEN AMORIM IS UNDER PRESSURE AT MANCHESTER UNITED FOLLOWING THEIR EUROPA LEAGUE FINAL DEFEAT TO TOTTENHAM, AND THE PORTUGUESE HAS ISSUED A VOW TO THE CLUB'S HIERARCHY 23:28, 21 May
2025Updated 07:35, 22 May 2025 Ruben Amorim has vowed to walk away from Manchester United if the powers that be reckon he's not up to scratch as manager. The Red Devils have hit rock
bottom, with their most dismal season in over half a century sealed by a gutting Europa League final loss to Tottenham, who nabbed their first bit of silverware since 2008 in Bilbao. Spurs
have had United's number this term, besting them four times and shutting them out in three of those clashes, leaving United teetering just above the drop zone in 16th place in the
Premier League. Amorim, who took the reins at Old Trafford back in November, has only managed to secure six wins in 26 league matches, and their European campaign fizzled out without any
trophy to show for it. Despite the rough patch, Amorim is sticking to his guns, insisting he believes in his approach but conceding that it's up to the club's bigwigs and the fans
to judge whether he's the right bloke for the job, reports the Manchester Evening News. Article continues below "In this moment, I am not going to be here defending myself, is not
my style," Amorim declared. "I cannot do it, is really hard for me. "So I have nothing to show to the fans to say I am going to improve because of this, I had these problems,
I will not do nothing. "In this moment, it's a little bit of faith. So let's see. Like I said before, coming here before in the flash, I am always open. "If the board and
fans feel that I'm not the right guy, I will go the next day without any conversation about compensation. "But I will not quit again. I am really confident in my job and, as you
can see, I will not change nothing in the way I do things." The defeat at Spurs' hands marked the 16th occasion United have drawn a blank this term, with the squad lugging at a -12
goal difference in the league. They're reportedly eyeing Ipswich Town's frontman Liam Delap, who's just four days younger than United's No.9 Rasmus Hojlund. Boss Amorim
was adamant that United outplayed Tottenham despite their lack of firepower upfront. "What I can say is it was clear we were the better team but we managed not to score again and that
is really hard to win football matches," he admitted. DON'T MISS A THING WITH FOOTBALL UPDATES! Want to be on the ball with all of the latest football news? Well then sign up for

it's different players. It's not the problem of one guy. Article continues below "We are not scoring goals, the goalkeeper did a great job."
