RAINBOW SIX SIEGE HAS BEEN AROUND FOR ALMOST A DECADE AND IT'LL GET A NEW SIEGE X SHOWCASE IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS TO REVEAL MORE ABOUT WHAT'S COMING BEYOND 2025 15:40, 17 Feb
2025Updated 15:46, 17 Feb 2025 For all of the live service shooters, Rainbow Six Siege doesn't get enough love. The game has been around since 2015, and in that time its rivals have
launched sequels or just ceased to exist. Siege's longevity is a testament to its intense gameplay and Ubisoft Montreal's willingness to make big changes, even if they don't
always pan out, and after almost a decade, the team is ready to show what's next. As teased in a video over the weekend at the Six Invitational esports event, the Siege X showcase is
coming on March 13. Here's all we know. RAINBOW SIX SIEGE X TO SHOWCASE NEXT PHASE OF POPULAR SHOOTER The glossy trailer above showcases the attack-and-defend nature of Siege which
hasn't changed in a decade, but so much else has. New Operators, weapons, maps, systems, and more have been added over the last ten years, and while the game's next Operation will
bring a new playable Operator Rauora and additional features, the Siege X event will seemingly be larger in scale. Article continues below The event, taking place on March 13 at 5 pm GMT (10
am PT or 1 pm ET), will focus on "the biggest transformation in the game’s history which introduces new ways to play, deepened tactical gameplay, and major upgrades all around",
the YouTube description reads. A statement from the development team says "The R6 team has been working tirelessly to bring to life the biggest transformation in the game's history
and its purpose is to reinforce Rainbow Six Siege's position at the top of tactical first-person shooters by introducing new ways to play, deepened tactical gameplay, refined game feel
and major upgrades all around." "To celebrate this new age of Siege, we are holding an exclusive event that you're invited to attend; The Rainbow Six Siege X Showcase."
I spoke to Alex Karpazis, the game's Creative Director, in Montreal in 2023 and he said the team wanted the game to be around for another decade, and confirmed the studio is not working
on a Siege 2. As for Rauora, she arrives with her gadget, the D.O.M. launcher, which deploys a bulletproof 'smart cover'. She'll join the game as an Attacker in the new
Operation Prep Phase update which is the first seasonal update of Year 10. Article continues below FOR THE LATEST BREAKING NEWS AND STORIES FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE FROM THE DAILY STAR, SIGN UP
