going on sale for just £6-a-month to bring top telly to the masses without breaking the bank.


Sky Glass Air offers 4K telly streaming over wi-fi on up to a 65in display, but is less than half the monthly cost of the normal Sky Glass Gen 2 set.


Chiefs at the firm are crowing at how they’ve been able to produce a cracking TV set while cutting the cost for consumers.


If you add in the very basic Sky Essential TV subscription, covering 100-odd channels like Sky Atlantic as well as Netflix and Discovery+, you’re going to be spending £21-a-month all in.


That’s considerably less than the minimum £29 on the Gen 2 piece of kit with the same subscription.


And as it’s over the internet, there’s no need for an expensive satellite dish either.

Available to buy from June 10, the cheapest 43in Sky Glass Air boasts a 4K HDR Quantum Dot screen packing a vibrant high-quality picture, a slim frame and Dolby audio.


It has three colours – Sea Green, Carbon Grey, and Cotton White – and comes in two other sizes, 55in and 65in.


The telly runs on Sky OS, the same operating system in the Sky Stream pucks, which brings together entertainment from Sky and other popular apps - like Netflix, Prime TV and Paramount+ - in


one place, helping TV fans get to what they want to watch, faster.


And it keeps getting smarter, with regular updates and new features added.


There's voice control, pinpoint visuals and a slim design There’s also hands-free voice control, simply say “Hello Sky…” to turn on the TV, search for shows or genres from Sky and apps,


adjust volume, add to Playlist and much more.

There are now 30 more genre rails on the homepage, which are personalised based on watch history and bring together suggestions of what to watch across content, apps and channels.
