BBC Breakfast in chaos as co-host missing and guest 'cut off' live on airThere was a major blunder on BBC Breakfast on Sunday morning (May 4), with host Roger Johnson left to present the
show alone and having to deal with technical issuesCommentsTVKelly Smith Screen Time Reporter11:49, 04 May 2025Updated 11:53, 04 May 2025 BBC Breakfast descended into chaos when a guest was
abruptly "cut off" mid-interview due to some pesky technical difficulties.
On the morning of Sunday, May 4, Roger Johnson found himself manning the BBC Breakfast fort solo, with his usual Sunday partners-in-crime, Nina Warhurst and Luxmy Gopal, noticeably absent
from their usual spots on the famous couch.
Roger didn't spill the beans on why he was riding solo, leaving viewers in the dark about why he was presenting without a sidekick to assist in dishing out the day's news and updates to
the nation.
But it wasn't all smooth sailing for our lone host Roger, who hit a snag during a live chinwag with Bob Bolton from Open Swim UK.

chilly dips in the ocean, reports the Express.

there wasn't a heap of scientific proof backing this up.
He gave a shout-out to the boffins at Portsmouth University who were rolling up their sleeves to dig into the facts, launching their own study and scouting for volunteers to take the plunge.
While chatting with Bob over the video link, Roger dropped a word of caution to the viewers, stating: "I think the important thing to say and I am sure you will agree with me, it's great to
do open water swimming, but it has to be done in the right way.
"We're not suggesting that people rush out and jump into the nearest lake without a thought."

urging people to approach it responsibly.
However, it soon became apparent that Bob's connection to the studio was faltering, with his audio coming across as muffled and indistinct. Bob attempted to share updates on the positive
impact of the sport on participants, mentioning that many had expressed gratitude to him.
Unfortunately, the poor quality of Bob's audio connection forced the host to intervene, cutting him off mid-conversation. Roger apologised, saying: "Bob, I am so sorry."
He added: "Your audio is, we can't hear you anymore."

"That was Bob Bolton from Open Swim UK," as the BBC presenter moved on to other news.
BBC Breakfast airs every day from 6am on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
