THE ONE SHOW PRESENTER ALEX JONES WAS LEFT SPEECHLESS WHEN JACKIE CHAN MADE AN UNEXPECTED ADMISSION ON TUESDAY SARA BAALLA TV Reporter 20:54, 20 May 2025 The One Show presenter Alex Jones
was left gobsmacked when a guest revealed he "risked his life" on Tuesday (May 20). In the latest instalment of the popular BBC show, Alex and her fellow presenter Clara Amfo
discussed the day's top stories from around Britain. They also spoke to the stars of Karate Kid: Legends, Jackie Chan, Ralph Macchio, and Ben Wang, as well as renowned pianist Jools
Holland. This sixth chapter in the martial arts saga picks up after the 2010 film starring Jaden Smith and follows on from the much-loved comedy series Cobra Kai, which wrapped up its run
earlier this year. "Jackie, you've done over 200 films and the big thing with you is you want to do your own stunts, and I'm sure the same was the case in this film?"
Alex asked on today's The One Show, reports the Express. Article continues belowREAD MORE: The One Show's Alex Jones calls for programme to 'finish' after Robson

didn't have money, we didn't have time, we just risked my life to do all these stunts," which left the presenters utterly speechless. "When we have money, we know the
technology, the audience don't like to see Jackie Chan using special effects. So until now, and even I tell Ben, you have to do your own stunts, and the audience respects you."
"It's a lot to live up to," Alex noted, before Jackie explained how Charlie Chaplin inspired his style of fighting. "It's the old days, nothing, no special effects.
They do all kinds of crazy stunts and I said, 'I gotta do it'," he added. "Then I just change a little bit, use it in my movie and I just do the same thing. But I hurt a
lot... I thought I had to do the old things." Alex replied in astonishment, "Oh my goodness, it's amazing that you're sitting here in one piece, Jackie," while Clara
chimed in, "He's here! A man committed." Karate Kid: Legends was directed by Jonathan Entwistle from a script by Rob Lieber, and is due to hit cinemas on Friday, May 30. The
blockbuster also stars Joshua Jackson, Sadie Stanley, Ming-Na Wen, Aramis Knight, Wyatt Oleff, and Shaunette Renée Wilson. Article continues below THE ONE SHOW AIRS WEEKNIGHTS ON BBC ONE AT
