VIETNAMESE ARCHITECTURE PRACTICE CHON ARCHITECTS HAS COMPLETED THE ‘BLINDS TOWNHOUSE’ IN NHA TRANG CITY, VIETNAM. conceived as a house organically attached to a small park, the design


employs a transparent façade to create a dialogue between the residents and surrounding nature. all images by © quang trần FOR THE DESIGN OF THE FAMILY HOME, THE ARCHITECTS SOUGHT TO CREATE


ARCHITECTURAL SPACES THAT WOULD FOSTER COMMUNITY AND INTERACTION. the design includes a soft sun shadow curtain inspired by vietnam’s traditional architecture built from modern materials of


steel and wire mesh. the transparency ensures maximum natural lighting within the home and allows engagement with the urban surroundings. the architects ensured that the house was designed


in conversation with surrounding vegetation THE ARCHITECTS CAREFULLY PRESERVED ELEMENTS OF THE SITE, RESPECTING ITS LONG HISTORY WITHIN THE FAMILY ACROSS THREE GENERATIONS. the 20-year old


star-fruit tree creates conversation between architecture and landscape, while the timeless wooden furniture maintains the nostalgic quality of the home. _‘our project was considered as an
